What would be the average price that you would pay for a magazine or a magazine subscription?
There was a clear range of what the consumers would be willing to pay for a magazine or the magazine subscription. The customers said that they would most likely pay around £3 for a magazine. However I feel as though £5 is an acceptable value as there needs to be a profit.
How often do you purchase a magazine/ how often would you purchase a magazine?
The video suggests that consumers are willing to purchase a magazine each month. In terms of £5 each month isn't too expensive.
What do you find most entertaining about within a magazine (Free stuff, exclusive stories, images, adverts or other)?
As expected the consumers enjoy the free products as they are generally worth the majority of the product.
If you were to purchase a magazine what type of magazine would you most likely purchase?
The majority of people that I used for my focus group said that they would most likely purchase music magazines. Although during the video the question was unclear I then asked what type of music magazine later on and the two general types of music magazines were either rock or pop. I think that this is because the majority of popular and well known magazines focus in either of these genres Kerrang ,rock sound and NME for instance.
If you could change one thing about the conventional magazine what would it be?
All of the people in the video said adverts, although this is generally a large proportion of a magazine and without them the magazine would be quick to read. Adverts are seen as more of an annoyance as the user is essentially paying for the articles inside.
What artists do you listen to?
With each person i asked mentioning a different artists within separate genres it was difficult to determine which would be the best audience but it is clear that the most popular audiences are either rock or pop as not only do the charts show this but peers from my class agree so to.
What type of exclusive or gift would be most likely desire?
Free tickets were mentioned numerous times as well as meet and greets as great as this would be for a consumer it would be very difficult for a magazine to make the opportunity possible. However you could promote chances to win such items or even provide discounts.
