Logo

When designing my logo I had to ensure that it was memorable, effective and catchy.
Not only is the masthead the title of my magazine it is a symbol, it is what people should recognise the magazine for. Such logos like Kerrang and NME for example, both use a the same iconic style for each magazine, this is so the reader and audience can and will recognise the magazine for.
The guidelines for creating a logo are to ensure that it is simple, memorable and timeless. Here are some examples:


Here are some of the most iconic logos, even though numerous of them are just an image and include no text, due to pop culture and advertising I can identify them, like apple, Nike Starbucks, Pepsi and more. Since my logo is for a magazine I will be focusing on font and colour, I also noticed that in the iconic logos that include font generally include some form of fill or small effect that makes it different from a basic font style.
