Here are a variety of props and locations that i collected from Internet sources. I feel that these images are generic and can look effective alongside the subjects that I choose. I think that using a range of props and locations throughout my magazine will look very effective especially since it gives the impression of the magazine being more professional as it looks as though it collected images from a number of places and bands.
In terms of props, I feel as though I will most likely use the generic props for a rock magazine. Items like, guitars, microphones, drums and other instruments. Although these are very predictable instruments they often look very effective and fitting.
For locations the most preferable place for my magazine would be a scene that resembles a recording studio. Studios are very effective as they create a strong sense of exclusiveness due to the fact the audience don't see the making of the music but only the finished outcome. And studios are were the artists go to complete the song. I could also use settings like town or possibly the woods. By using a city centre with images that look as though they were taken like an armature gives the sense of the outgoings of the band is been documented. Alternatively I could use a setting like the woods and compose the band so the shoot looks like a professional photo shoot.
